Evo Announces For President Officially

The hard left candidate, Evo Morales officially announced his candidacy for president in the upcoming elections, and was unanimously selected as candidate by his party the MAS. In a related story, 25 % of those polled in Bolivia's four largest cities, said that Evo is the most 'powerful political figure' in Bolivia. Respondents next found for Samuel Doria Medina and ex presidente Carlos Mesa with 7% of those polled a piece, way below Morales.

Again, this is a 'perception', not about 'popularity'.

It seems in Bolivia blogs become very important to say the things are giong on in the country. We are very sorprised about it... could we supouse in Bolivia is a blog phenomenon because the time it is living?
We invite you to visit our blog (

I can't speak for bloggers in Bolivia, I live outside of the country.

The reason I started doing this is because, on the web most of what I read about Bolivia was from NGO's, European and American Leftists, and their pupils in the Bolivian New Left. It got so bad that this view was influencing the major (corporate) media like the New York Times and AFP,

Through travel, studies, consulting, and family, I happen to know and remain in close contact with people involved in Bolivian politics (right and left), as well as in the oil and mining businesses.

I felt that with the information I had, and my background (in Latin American History in Politics) I could offer an alternative to the bias coming from the extreme left. But, ultimately I hope Bolivians in the country, can pick up something from my blog.

I would recommend seeing Jim Shultz's blog on Bolivia for real coverage on the Bolivian situation. I seriously doubt you will find anything of substance here. This guy has been attacking "ngos" without having any facts. He's spent time spreading lies about people who are actually on the ground there trying to provide assistance, training and support to large sectors of the population there. This guy "Bolinica" is part of a small group of resentful, hater of non-whites, because he feels superior group. He is a good example of what is wrong in Bolivia without being there.

Nice to see the true "you" comes out. When you have no substance you resort to insults and name calling. You are ignorant as they call you.
